This year Smithwick's is celebrating 300 years of brewing craft and tradition in Kilkenny. Founded by John Smithwick in 1710 he chose the site of an ancient monastery, St Francis Abbey in Kilkenny, to position his brewery. Due to this heritage and Smithwick's reaching this momentous occasion we are delighted that the Kilkenny Rhythm and Roots Festival will be celebrated with the Smithwick's brand being the principal sponsor at the festival.
